B.Pharmacy

Admisions

The College offers 100 seats for the B.Pharmacy course as per the norms of AICTE. The eligibility criteria for admission in to the course is as follows.

  • Convenor Quota / Govt. Quota (70 % i.e 70 seats) Candidates for admission to the Degree of Bachelor of Pharmacy shall be required to have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or an Examination recognized as equivalent there to with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or biology as subjects
    OR
    Candidates for admission to the Degree of B.Pharm shall be required to have passed Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an Institute in AP recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (or a local candidate with a Diploma in Pharmacy from outside AP).
  • The State government conducts a common entrance test EAMCET for admission into the Convenor quota. The seats are allotted on the basis on counseling according to the ranks obtained in the EAMCET.
  • Management Quota (30% i.e 30 seats)
  • A Pass in Intermediate (10+2) with Science subjects as optionals ( Maths,Physics,Chemistry or Biology, Physics and Chemistry) with minimum of 60% marks at the qualifying exam i.e 10+2. The admissions for management quota will be done at college level by the management based on the Intermediate (10+2)merit.
  • Lateral Entry
  • A Pass in Diploma in Pharmacy and qualifying in the ECET entrance will entitle the candidate for direct admission into B.Pharm 2nd year through Lateral entry.
  • All along the duration of the course, the students would avail training / coaching in areas like
    • GPAT
    • TOEFL and GRE
    • Spoken English
    • Personality Development
    • Computer Programming etc.
  • It is optional for the student to select one or more of these. All such training/ coaching is being conducted with the assistance of experts specialized in the those areas.

Pharm.D ( 6 years course)

Admisions

The College offers 30 seats for the Pharm.D course as per the norms of PCI. The eligibility criteria for admission in to the course is as follows.

  • Convenor Quota / Govt. Quota (70 % i.e 21 seats)
    Candidates for admission to the Degree of Doctor of Pharmacy shall be required to have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or an Examination recognized as equivalent there to with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or biology as subjects.
    OR
  • Candidates for admission to the Degree of Doctor of Pharmacy shall be required to have passed Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an Institute in AP recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (or a local candidate with a Diploma in Pharmacy from outside AP).

  • A Pass in Intermediate (10+2) with Science subjects as optional ( Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Biology, Physics and Chemistry) with minimum of 60% marks at the qualifying exam i.e 10+2. The admissions for management quota will be done at college level by the management based on the Intermediate (10+2) merit.

M.Pharmacy (2 year course)

Admisions

Convenor quota: The admissions to Master of Pharmacy program is based on GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test - All India Entrance Examination) examination and PGCET ( Post Graduate Common Entrance Test). GPAT is conducted on all India basis and PGCET is conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education on a state level basis within A.P. Candidates qualifying in GPAT are given priority over PGCET candidates. The seats left unfilled after counseling to GPAT candidates are allotted to PGCET qualified candidates.

Management Quota: A candidate seeking admission into M.Pharm under management quota is expected to have atleast 50% marks at B.Pharm level. The admissions for management quota will be done at college level by the management based on the B.Pharm merit.
